Siouxsie & the Banshees at Mainstreet, Auckland, February 14 1983.

The sweat poured off Steve Severin and down his bass. This was one of the hottest concerts I have ever been to. The walls and ceiling of Mainstreet were literally dripping wet.

Robert Smith of The Cure made a low key appearance as the Banshee's guitarist.

What a great concert that was! Mainstreet was absolutely heaving, I remember condensation running down the walls. Stood on a chair to see the stage, over on the right hand side of the audience. [Was there a balcony at Mainstreet? I seem to recall being up on a balcony or mezzanine type thing.]
One of my elder brothers took me, it was a school night. Had to go to the school swimming championships the next day at Jellicoe Pools.
